TENCEL™ Lyocell
TENCEL™ Lyocell is a fiber made from the natural raw material wood, which is primarily extracted from eucalyptus wood by the Austrian company Lenzing AG. The wood comes from sustainably managed plantations certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and does not require artificial irrigation, fertilizers or pesticides.
Cotton, for example, gobbles up to 2,000 liters of water per T-shirt; in comparison, the eucalyptus plant requires 10 to 20 times less water. The fiber yield is ten times higher than cotton, so 1 T-shirt made of cotton or 10 T-shirts made of TENCEL™ Lyocell can be produced from approx. 6 m² of soil. The eucalyptus plant is spared any genetic manipulation. Due to the sustainability in fiber production, the production process was awarded the "European Award for the Environment" by the European Union.
We love the material not only because of its sustainability, but also especially because it is so incredibly soft and skin-friendly, as well as staying beautiful for a long time.
Everything that is not made of lace is made of TENCEL™ Lyocell.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is a brand of Lenzing AG.
Q-Nova
Q-Nova is an environmentally friendly, recycled nylon fibre. It is made exclusively from waste material from industry.
The raw materials used for this material could therefore not be used elsewhere and would have been disposed of.
Q-Nova uses the innovative MCS process: a locally based mechanical regeneration system that does not use chemical materials that would compromise the sustainability of the final product.
Q-Nova is certified according to the GRS (Global Recycle Standard)
Our lace is made of Q-Nova, as are the elastics we use for the fine finishes.
Roica Eco-Smart
ROICA™ ECO-SMART is the only more environmentally friendly elastane certified by GRS (Global Recycle Standard). Up to 50% recycling of industrial waste before consumption, better eco-statistics due to lower water consumption, improved dye uptake in fabric production due to lower oil content resulting in less waste water and lower temperatures in the dyeing process providing measurable energy savings. Roica Eco-Smart Represents the most advanced, versatile and highest quality stretch fabric available today.
We use Roica Eco-Smart for the finishes.
Cupro
Cupro is the vegan alternative to silk and has been increasingly sewn in the fair fashion sector in recent years. The fabric itself has actually been on the market for many years, but until a few years ago it had a bad reputation because the chemicals required for production were released into the environment. In the meantime, the so-called "closed loop" process has been introduced so that the chemicals are not released into the environment but are reprocessed and remain in a continuous production cycle.
Cotton linter (a waste product from normal cotton production) is used in the production of Cupro. The fabric has a very fine and soft feel and has a cooling effect. It is also non-static and particularly skin-friendly.
We use cupro for our loungewear.
